Our business is about helping people embrace their own style and then use that style to elevate their living spaces. What better way to get to know our work than watching us work on our own. When we found this space in historic downtown Owego, New York, we instantly fell in love and IT became the inspiration for the business we are now building. Sometimes the idea finds a space, but other times, the space itself is the impetus for new ideas.
The space is already beautiful, but now we make it our own. We'll update pics along our design journey and hope you'll follow us. Watching us fill this space will help you get to know us better and what you can come to expect from us as we build this new business.
Our vision for Owego Home is to become a one-stop hub for all design needs; from selling home furnishings and accessories (from both our physical storefront AND our online shop) to interior design and decoration services, to home staging services. And finally, once we have the space completed, we want to open it up for intimate gatherings where people can socialize in a beautiful space filled with carefully curated and beautiful things.
We love the black brick exterior. We won't be doing much here except adding eye-catching signage.
The way in which you enter a space is very important. We'll be adding a big comfy chair just to the side of the door so everyone knows they have a comfy place to sit while they enjoy a cup of coffee, look at the art, or simply watch the always interesting and friendly foot traffic in downtown Owego.
We're very lucky to have a working fireplace in the space. People keep saying last winter we got lucky, and that this winter we're in for it. Well, either case, we'll be prepared with a roaring fire for you to sit next to when you come visit us.
This shot is of the middle room in the space, looking back to the first room/welcome and reception area. Here, we're planning to have a full dining area. The 2nd door you see here will be where we have our design consultations for either interior design and decoration projects, or home staging projects.
This is the 3rd and back-most space of the shop where we'll have lots of displays holding more interesting items than you can imagine to dress up your own space.

We won'r be holding regular business hours until after our soft launch on November 11th, when we'll open our doors officially so we can be part of the Historic Owego Marketplace's Holiday Showcase.
